All the steps of the Leading Architects method are brought together in the Leading the Change programme. A powerful combination of individual coaching and group training. This allows for a lot of personal attention to your own growth path as well as plenty of opportunities to learn from each other.

    A comprehensive individual personality assessment based on an MBTI® analysis.

    Knowing yourself is the basis for making real impact. We also determine your individual learning objectives for the programme.

    Three days of group training. We go through all the steps of the Leading Architects method.

    You learn strategies for effective communication, influencing and dealing with resistance and stress. In addition, you learn techniques to structure your wealth of knowledge and ideas and to convey them in a superpowerful architecture story. The starting point is always your personality analysis, so that you can use the strategies and techniques that suit you best.

  • 3.

    Individual coaching session during the programme in which I give you personal and practical feedback. Linked to your learning objectives, I give you all kinds of hints & tips that you can immediately apply in your work.

  • 4.

    A final individual coaching session in which together we translate all the insights, learned techniques and strategies into a concrete growth plan. By implementing this plan you will become a change leader.

Individual intake: personality analysis and setting learning objectives
We start the programme by giving you insight into yourself. We do so using a comprehensive MBTI® personality analysis. This analysis gives you great insight into your skills in the areas of communication, collaboration, decision-making, stress and leadership.

Day 1 – Group training & coaching

Module 1 – Build your foundation
You build your first layer based on 3 perspectives: You, Story and People.

  • You: yourself in the group based on your MBTI® personality analysis

  • Story: what are the key elements of a powerful story? What is your story?

  • Audience: who are the people around you? Your key stakeholders and interests

Module 2 – Build your story – create a powerful architecture story

You learn the techniques for building your architecture story.

  • Getting to the heart of the matter – a strong central message

  • Using the Pyramid Principle to structure your story

  • Making a difference with a compelling story – storytelling for architects

  • Architecture visualizations – what works and what doesn’t

Day 2 – Group training & coaching

You get feedback on your story and I give you practical hints & tips that are related to your learning objectives.

Day 3 – Group training & coaching

You present your fleshed out story to the group and get valuable feedback. It sounds demanding, but you’ll find this part is a lot of fun and very valuable.

Module 6 – Lead the change

  • The architect as change leader: discovering and using your leadership skills

  • Stress management: your stress triggers and how to identify, prevent and eliminate stress

Yes it is. All architects steer change and provide the frameworks needed for it. Every architect therefore needs certain leadership qualities. There is no such thing as a prototypical leader. Everyone is unique. In the programme, we look for your personal leadership qualities and strategies that you can use.

Yes, it is an open registration programme. Everyone can participate individually. This gives you the opportunity to learn from other individuals and organizations and make valuable contacts with your peers.

Yes, the programme is ideally suited to team participation. An added advantage is that in addition to gaining insight into yourself, you also get insight into the qualities and possible blind spots of your entire team.

Yes, it is. Definitely. Telling a story kind of goes with the territory of being an architect. I teach you how to tell your story in a way that suits you. But you also learn other influencing techniques to get people on board with your story. So it’s really not necessary to love the limelight.

No, this programme is about developing yourself. Taking action, trying things out and practising them in your daily work is crucial to growth. Taking an exam does not add anything to this. But you do receive a certificate of participation.

No, in this programme you don’t learn an architecture method. There are already many other courses available for that. In this programme, you learn the personal and leadership skills an architect needs. The programme does, however, cover all kinds of architecture cases.
